Johannesburg: July 31 – August 2
- See the Apartheid Museum
- Visit Soweto and Alexandra Townships
- Market Street Theatre Complex and meet local women poets (Myesha)
- Meet with Charlayne Hunter Gault re: her new book New News Out of Africa
- Other meetings as they develop
Capetown: August 2 – August 8
- Visit to District Six Museum
- Robben Island visit (weather permitting)
- Time with Treatment Action Campaign staff
- Visit to Khyalisha, Guguletu, Mitchell’s Plain
- Time with people organizing around housing issues
- Visit to Parliament, St. George’s, Green Market Square
Namibia (Windhoek=capital): August 8 – August 13
- Tour Windhoek, including the Parliament-if in session
- Meet the Sister Namibia organization
- Time with Labor Research and Resources Institute
- Visit with Namibian labor leaders
- Trip to Etosha National Park, game viewing
- Secondary school visit
Johannesburg: August 13 – August 14
- Overnight, then early morning bus ride to Maputo, Mozambique lunch in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga Province (South Africa)
Maputo: August 14 – August 19
- Meeting with famous artist Malangatana; see Chissano sculpture museum
- Visit Frelimo Museum
- Free time & possible beach trip
- Meet with people doing Health care work and visit Maputo Hospital
- Meet with local Mozambican artisans
